    Looking back on it 30+ years later, some will find there's actual value in this, third album by Visage, but apart from curiosity it may provoke (thanks be due to a great album title, mind you), "Beat Boy" remains a painfully dull and forgettable combination of out-on-out rockin' synth-soul/funk clichés of the time/5(40).

    "Beat Boy" has, for some reason, become the album that many Visage fans have agreed to dislike. OK, so it's not a patch on their first two albums, and they REALLY should have used some of the BBC session versions ("Questions" & "Only the Good Die Young") that were way superior than the final cuts but, that aside, this album isn't so bad/5(23).

    Beat Boy is the third studio album by the British new wave band netdatizewsgipur.chyatousiwatopersnisctocurdotenria.co was recorded at Trident Studios between 19and released on Polydor Records in October (delayed by contractual problems the band were having at that time). Reaching No. 79 on the UK album chart, the album was poorly received by critics and would be the band's last studio album for almost thirty years.

    "Beat Boy" has, for some reason, become the album that many Visage fans have agreed to dislike.     "Only the Good Die Young" is a song from Billy Joel's rock album The Stranger. It was the third of four singles released from the album. The song was controversial for its time, with the lyrics written from the perspective of a young man determined to have sex with a Catholic girl.
