   Spring, Summer, Winter & Fall, 2. Such A Funny Night, 3. I Want To Live, 5. Rain And Tears sowie 8. It's Five O'clock. Schön, dass Papathanassiou dann als Vangelis für mich doch die sehr viel bessere Musik machte. Trotzdem mag ich "The Best of Aphrodite's Child" noch heute gerne hören/5(42).

   Aphrodite's Child was a Greek progressive rock band formed in , by Vangelis Papathanassiou (keyboards, flutes), Demis Roussos (bass, acoustic and electric guitar, vocals), Loukas Sideras (drums and vocals), and Silver Koulouris (guitar). The band's career ended shortly after release of their most impactful album, , which has appeared on a number of lists of the top progressive or Genres: Progressive rock, psychedelic rock, baroque pop.

   Serious art rock fans would not consider this compilation to represent the best of the group, as it concentrates on their early pop-oriented singles of the late '60s and early '70s, not their most ambitious, conceptual period. If psychedelic pop is more your bag, though, it does signify their best phase, including of course their big European hit (which made number 30 in the U.K 6/
