After "Moving Pictures" made my young, 5th grade self into a lifelong Rush fan, when "Exit Stage Left" came out it was played so much on cassette tape that I had to buy another copy! This was the album that highlighted Neil Peart as, even as a youngster, I knew this band - and this particular musician - /5().

Stage Left is comprised of live versions of songs from Rush’s second quartet of LPs, A Farewell to Kings (), Hemispheres (), Permanent Waves (), and Moving Pictures (). Given that Moving Pictures is the band’s finest album, there seems to be a lot of quality material a lot to draw upon for Exit.

"Xanadu" is a song by the Canadian rock band Rush from their album A Farewell to Kings. It is approximately eleven minutes long, beginning with a five-minute-long instrumental section before transitioning to a narrative written by Neil Peart, which in turn was inspired by the Samuel Taylor Coleridge poem Kubla Khan.

Stage Left is the second live album by the Canadian rock band Rush, released as a double album in October by Anthem Records. After touring in support of their eighth studio album Moving Pictures (), the band gathered recordings made over the previous two years and constructed a live release from them with producer Terry Brown.
